Hi Friends,
It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since we set off on our extended travel, but when looking at everywhere we’ve traveled to and what we’ve been able to experience, it does indeed feel like a year. An incredible year.
Since we left Cambodia in March, here’s what we’ve been up to:
Ate our way through Taipei and discovered that it is one of the best coffee cities in the world.
Made it to Italy for the first time, where we fell in love with Venice and enjoyed getting to explore Florence and Rome.
Fed our ancient history obsession exploring Athens, Greece.
Found our “someday home” in the country of Ireland during a 3-week Ireland/Northern Ireland road trip. One of the most charming and wonderful places we’ve been, and memories of our cliff walks will remain a highlight for years to come.
Explored Lisbon and Porto, Portugal, with family and wrapped up this year-long adventure in our last-stop city of Amsterdam.
After 37 flights, 73,217 air miles flown, 34 airports, 16 countries, and 2.9x times around the globe, we decided we were ready to come home. And that’s where we are - in Los Angeles, where we’re permanently resettling.
This is by no means the end of our travels…just traveling full-time. We have a bet going to see how long it’ll be until we take our next trip, but in the meantime, we’re excited to have a home again in the city we love. Los Angeles already feels like home again.
We’re moving into our new place next weekend, we bought a car, and I’m already secretly starting a list of places we need to visit later this year (shhh!).
Chris has been posting, and will continue to post, photos from our travels on his personal Instagram.
Thanks for following along, and we hope you have some fun travels of your own planned for this summer!
